I have an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro for my AMD X6 1055T @ stock 2.6, but was disappointed when i tried to fit it to my board only to discover that not only does the fan have to face the PSU (only AMD) but even then the fan doesn't fit correctly onto supplied heatsink as it is obstructed by the ram modules.

Could anyone please recommend a similar performing cooler that faces the rear case fan to get a better airflow, but like the Freezer 7 Pro doesn't require a back plate. Could the OCUK staff recommend anything as i am planning to upgrade to the FX-8 8350 Black Edition.

Many thanks.

Here is a diagram from the AC site to illustrate the problem, but unlike their diagram the Heatsink practically sits on top of the ram modules and anyone with high profile ram would have no chance of getting it fitted

I use the Cooler below ( see specs ) and this Ram and it fits just nicely.....i have also had Corsair Vengeance Blue Ram ...but had to take the heatsinks off

cos you wanna better cooler than that one above for that 8350 i would think...or one of the AIO water cooling loops ...then you can fit whatever ram you wish :)

Wow, that Phanteks looks like a beast and can see that it sits quite nicely above the ram modules with some space to spare, though not sure i would have the courage to fit that. I do like your suggestion of water cooling loop, never ventured down that road before.
