Hi Guys

I need to buy a portable workbench as the new skill I'm teaching myself is DIY.

I need it for holding bits of wood for sawing etc. Does anyone have any words of advice or recommendations?

Many thanks

I have a piece of old desktop with a vice screwed to it that I put on the floor to work on stuff. And for working on plywood and big stuff I just put scraps on wood under it and work on the ground. Pretty ghetto. I do have a bunch of clamps which are helpful. For example ripping a 8' length of plywood with a circular saw I just rest the plywood on a couple 8' studs lying the ground and clamp a straight board 4.5" away from the cut line and use it as a rip fence.

Jawhorse looks quite useful
