Had my 2407 for a few weeks now and would like some software for it

basically, I want some software that for certain applications, i.e. Firefox, will load 2 up side by side and give you the option in the application header bar to set it to fill or maximise to half screen.

I've tried ultramon in the past for when i'm using 2 screens but this is just a single screen.

just maximise the 2 windows you want, move mouse over task bar (blank bit), right click and tile windows vertically.

works for all monitors, not just 1920x1200.

If you have an nividia card (prob do it on ATI too, not sure), you can set up grid lines on the screen that mean when you double click on the top bar while holding alt is snaps the window to the grid lines.

I means you can split your screen in half (useful for when you want a browser window in one side of the screen and and MSN screen in the other half), or more if you want to.

I don't think ATI cards do this (like nvidia cards do), at least not without help. Ultramon does actually allow you to define regions of the screen, so you could assign a key to maximize a window to a predefined segment of the screen (e.g. left or right half). I've been using Ultramon in this way for some time on my Dell 24".

Here's a link to a thread that describes how to do it. Bit of a faff initially, but once it's set up it's great.
