Need some adivce

Hey,

I've just recently purchased a 55" LG 4k HDR TV (55SJ850V) and I've been given a Marantz NR1504 I'm looking to build a 5.1 surround sound system based around this.

I know the NR1504 doesn't support 4k HDR but would it be possible to just use it as decoder for DTS-HD audio through the HDMI ARC connection?

Also i'm looking for a 5.1 speaker package for around £500, I've been looking at the Q Acoustics 3000i range!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You don't have much power so get efficient speakers. Typically small speakers aren't efficient. Also the sub in the q acoustics system is not very good.

ARC can't do anything that optical can't as they have equivalent bandwidth, so no DTS-HD, no TrueHD, no multi channel PCM and no Atmos
