ill start from the beginning, so hopefully you will know my current situation better and able to advice whats best to do right now.

I started cycling in 2012, got myself a road bike (well 2 actually) and would be riding like 5-7 days a week, and started racking up the miles with the club and hitting 50 miles or so.

I have had back injuries in the past and ended up stopping cycling around 2015 as i find if i'm on the bike after like 10 mins, my back would seize up.
so anyway, from then till now, i had mri scan, and it showed nothing of importance, phiso said normal wear and tear but nothing to worry about.

so for the past 3 years I've been finding it difficult to move around, after having countless Chiropractor and osteopath sessions and Physiotherapy, i think we (or I) are getting somewhere, i saw a physiotherapist again last week who examined me again in great detail, and we came to the conclusion that as im not on pain killers, My muscles are all very tight and i am all "hunched" up, and she said I need to get the flexibility and "open up"

so shes given me exercises to do and she said to start cycling again and try and break the habit of just doing the same thing every days (sleep and working), my job is a very physical one , im in the warehouse so im on my feet all day unloading lorries (so not much bending and lifting to do)

so ive started walking instead of cycling at the moment, due to my fear that ill get more problems rather than cure my current one

instead of just going out and just "walking" and getting back into fitness again, is there something i can do will help me MORE ?

tempted to get a fitness watch (used to own a Garmin with strava for cycling)

need something to push me to do more

Thanks for reading

so i went back around there today to have a chat with the guy i needed to speak to (PT) and hes given me a free session tomorrow and he will be with me, then i can make a decision what to do

as im not doing any activity, i think Gym would be beneficial , 1, to get fitter and 2, keep me away from my PC more

what i might do is hire a PT say once every 4 weeks, get them to make up sessions for me , that way im not paying £20 for half an hour of his time everytime, and perhaps do some swimming as well on the other days

oh and it was my first time ive walked into a gym today!
