im just about to embark on my 2nd water-cooling set up.

the first set up i had was a xspc system that had everything in the box and all i had to do was fit it.

now my 2nd one has had me buying item's for it.

i have bought a cpu block and tubing but im stuck on the res to which i will purchase soon after some advice.

this is the case the set up will be going into once i get the res.

the case came with a triple rad and pump/cpu block.

the cpu block has no fittings so i have got another one (XSPC Delta V3 CPU Waterblock ) i also have some white 1/2" tubing.

on top of the case is a fill port and i would like to use this with this res.

now my question is how do i attach the fill port to the top of the res ?

by looking at the res it has quite a large fill hole and the barbs i have are 1/2" and dont think they will fit.

im ok on fitting the rest of the water-cooling item's but the res has got me stumped or am i missing something ?

any help and advice would be great.

I think you can buy adaptors that will fit the res to allow tube fitment. You should be ok to use it without said fitment though. Just attach the tube to the fillport and drop the other end in the res, just be carefull not to overfill it.

Personally I would do without the fillport and fill the res up before screwing it in place as once your loop has been bled correctly it won't need re-filling for quite some time.

when i fill the loop up it will need filling a bit wouldn't it ?

my old set up did and nearly ran dry once it had gone through the rad and cpu block.

do you have a idea where to get this adaptor from please so i can have a look and see what it entails please w3bbo

Reservoir size has no impact. You could have a swimming pool or a t-line, the effect is the same, albeit the swimming pool would cost a bit to fill ;).
