I currently have the sennheisers pc360 for about a year and a half on my pc and I have been looking to upgrade it to a better headset for roughly £140 tops.

I have been interested in the Turtle Beach Seven headset. It looks nice and they have got some pretty decent reviews to back up the headset.

What do you guys think? Are there better headphones for around this price or is the turtle beach headset pretty decent?

Please any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Also I normally buy from 2nd hand outlets like ebay, preloved and gumtree as I have never had a problem with any of them before.

Will they be used purely for games or do you want a headset for general use too? I'm a bit out of touch with gaming headphones but Hyper X Cloud gets good reviews for the price and comes well under budget. Not sure if will be any improvement over the PC360s though.

If you want an all round sort of headphone it will depend on what it will be used for, and what type of music you listen too. Whether you like lots of bass and whether you want open or closed style headphones etc.

I personally don't bother with gaming headsets these days and have two headphones that I use for films and listening to music too with a clip-on microphone when needed for gaming.

Good points sorry to point out.

I do listen to quite a bit of music mainly on youtube. The main sort of music I listen to is Metalcore-Deathcore or really just anything with core at the end. Ha.

I play only FPS counter strike cs go and bf4 when its not broken.

As far as closed ear or open I'm not too sure, I think open will be okay but if its closed I won't really care too much about it.

If you want an improvement on the PC360, then only headphones are going to provide that really. There are very few headsets better than the PC360. I'd certainly not consider Turtle Beach. They are not fit to polish Sennheiser's shoes in my opinion.

Beyerdynamic DT770, would be a good choice, but if you are using onboard audio you're not going to get the best out of them.

beyerdynamics DT770 with modmic v4, ive just got this to replace a razer kraken 7.1 usb headset, and its so much better 100%, music using flac files in foobar come to life and games sound so much better to.

That card supports cans between 32 and 15Ohms. From what I've found just now the PC360 has a impedance of 50Ohms so the DGX will be more than powerful enough.

The STX has a better DAC and much better headphone amp but you're only going to hear those differences when playing music and even then the differences will be subtle and if just for gaming I would not bother.

As for the Sennheiser PC360, you really aren't going to get a better headset at any price and the only way to improve the sound would be to get hi-fi stereo headphones. Something like the Philips Fidelio X1 plus a clip on mic would be a good step up.
