I am looking for a new card as my 8800 is reaching the end of days. The fan is starting to go and while I could get a replacement I wouldnt mind a little upgrade but im very torn as to what to get and I have a limited budget(120-150 us).
I was going to go for a 5770 but frankly the prices have been going up out of my price range here and after doing a lot of reading im not sure I even need it. I game at 1440x900 and it will probably be a year before I upgrade the monitor and when I do ill snag a beefier card. At the moment I have been looking at the 5750 which is more in line cash wise but the question is would a 4850 1gb do the trick? I mostly play MMO's and wonder if the extra money for the 5750( and dx11)would really be worth it atm if I am gonna upgrade it in a year.
I know you all get tons of these threads but any advice would be welcomed. Almost seems there are to many mid range cards for me to choose from and it makes my head spin when I start getting into it. Thanks in advance.
