Need some advice (online guitar lessons)

right, Ive always wanted to do it.. but never got around to it.. well i finally bit the bullet and brought an electric guitar (just a cheapo one to learn on, since I'm skint). Now i cant really afford a teach but Ive seen some websites that offer video lessons, but before i pay for anything i would like peoples opinions. Are they worth it? will the actually help me? and any recommendations (if that's not against forum rules) would be awesome.

I wouldn't. You can get all sorts of free videos that explain the most vital parts of starting out anyway.

In my opinion, these sites that offer lessons are usually only good for learning a particular song (such as lick-libary.com) as it works out quite cheap, and you can watch and watch as many times as you please.
