Hi all, need some advice for getting a new graphics card - looking to spend no more than £150 (skip further down if just want to read the questions). I have just built a new pc after been away from the scene for a year and as always hardware changes so fast. In my last build I had the Sapphire 5850 which at the time cost me £210, glad to see they are available for £140 ish now

Anyway the card only just fit into my NZXT Guardian 921 tower which the new card will be going into, so the size of the new card must be considered. I wouldnt mind going for another 5850 seeing as they are much cheaper now, but a few questions i need help with..

I am using an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO motherboard, would i get any extra benefits if I chose an ASUS 5850 video card over other brands such as XFX, MSI etc? I would be overclocking the card so that is also an important factor, I remember with my last 5850 i had to flash the gpu bios to get it to overclock with MSI afterburner - would rather not have to do this.

Ok so I like the 5850, above aside what other graphics cards stack up against the 5850 for price/performance - i noticed all these 6*** series like the 6850/6870/6890 etc and also the GTX 460 etc..

---------------------------------------------

..Basically

-> looking for a new graphics card - around the £150 mark
-> will be playing at 1920x1080 resolution on a 40" Samsung HD TV
-> graphics card will be going in a NZXT Guardian 921 tower - my last Sapphire 5850 only just fit, so size of the card must be considered
-> using an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO motherboard, would i benefit getting an ASUS graphics card?
-> must be a good overclocker
-> may consider x-fire in the future but I think my motherboard only does it at 16x/4x so it may not be worth it?
-> I have no problem with either ATI or Nvidia, both have always been good for me so I wont pick one over the other like some fanboys :D

My current setup is:

ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO Motherboard
Phenom X6 1055T overclocked to 3.85ghz
2x2GB DDR3 G.Skill RipJaw 1600mhz
700w OCZ ModXStream PSU
NZXT Guardian 921

Appreciate any advice on what card to get thanks :)
