Hey guys,

I'm replacing my old mobo the BFG nForce 680i SLI with the ASUS Rampage 3 mobo. Have you guys got any preparation tips before installation of the new board? Should I remove the nvidia drivers first or after I installed the new mobo? It will be good to hear a few tips.

When changing the the motherboard I tend to do a full install to be on the safe side.

But try un-install majority of the old drivers, ie RAID drivers and chipset.

Back up all your important data and do a full clean install as RJC said , I have swapped a couple of different Asus boards in the past and none of them would boot without errors so better to go the full fresh install to save any hassle.

+1 for a full fresh install, you could encounter issues as theese boards use very different chipsets.
