Need some advice with upgrading an Orange contract

Hi,

I am wanting to upgrade my phone contract which is with Orange. Now right now I have a Dolphin 30 contract (but paying £18) and I am wanting to upgrade it so I can get the new HTC Desire when it is out. Now I have never done this before so I have a few questions.

1) Do I have to upgrade through Orange direct or can it be from other places that show 'upgrade' deals?

2) It seems like you have to go for a really expensive deal to get inclusive internet. Then I saw about Orange World which is that what orange calls their internet service? If so, it seems like I can have a 500mb per month usage for £5 a month, does this sound correct?

You see I am after a contract with only 100-200 talk minutes, 500ish texts and magic numbers (speak to gf on it). Also it would be pointless having a phone like this without internet.

The carphone warehouse said they would be able to deal with my upgrade but I never took them up on it so dont know what they could offer. However, my contract originally was taken through CPW so that might be why they could do it.

Orange wont discuss upgrade options with you until your eligible for it, but theres no harm in ringing them and insisting on having an internet bolt on with your contract then see what they can offer you. For example they might let you lose some of your minutes ro texts allowance to accomodate the internet bolt on.
