Evening,

Im not sure what i should do regarding upgrading my graphics card, ive literally just built a system so i can get back into gaming (all built on the cheap) i picked up a 7800GTX, now with older games it runs really well but because ive started playing ut3 and cod4 its running a bit slow for my liking

What card would you guys recomend upgrading to ? should i even bother upgrading ? does the 7800gtx still pack a punch ?

Id have to sell the 7800gtx before i did anything, are these cards still worth much ?

Rest of the spec is

E6600 @ 3.2
p5kc Asus Motherboard
x2 1gb Corsair Dominator (1066 stuff blah blah blah)
Vista Ultimate (32 bit)

If i was to sell the 7800gtx for £40 i could possibly have a budget of about £100, would i be looking at 8800 gt gts for that money ?

Thanks a lot

The 7800 ain't a bad card. You could try selling your current hardware and getting the 8800GT which is a good performer and will play finely the games you mentioned in your post.
If i were you i would wait for the new cards to come out and then get a new videocard. With Nvidia and ATI releasing very good performing cards at reasonable prices lately you could get yourself a much better performing card for the same money if you wait for a while.

I have seen 8800gt for 120
or you could go for 3870 at 100
or you may find a 3850 (512) for 80 following price cuts
