putting together a new build parts so far are

corsair 350d
either sniper m3 or gene v (open to other suggestions but needs to be 1155)
cpu look at i5 3570k
8gb ram atm which i already have may upgrade though
2tb hdd (already have)
gpu - was looking at the gtx660 but unsure if an amd equivalent that would be as good for a cheaper price
heatsink - undecided
psu - undecided

also already have screen win7 keyboard n mouse

any help with undecided parts or other suggestions for existing would be helpful
 
If you could give us a budget, that would help us provide recommendations.

Any particular reason you're going for a 3rd-gen CPU over Haswell?

The 660 is £150. For £185 you could get a 7950 and 5 free games - well worth the extra £35, I'd say.

You'll also want to get an SSD. The Samsung EVO 120gb is on offer today.
 
budgets betwwen 500-600

im currently watching and bidding on a gene v so seemed an easier way to save a bit of money to spend on other areas. plus i currently have an i52320 on my current systems so if im unable to get the 3570k for what ever reason, i can start putting the build together with existing parts and swap when i get them.

i was looking at ssd's but wasnt to sure on the type to go for.
