Hi guys,

Looking for a bit of advice on my new rig. I've ordered the following components:

I'll be using the overclocked MSI 6850 from my old system and I do plan to overclock the 3570k. Just need to keep everything nice and cool. I was tempted by water cooling but I am on a budget so not sure if its worth it? I think I need a few case fans (Bitfenix Prodigy comes with two 120mm fans but not sure how good they are) and a decent CPU cooler. Was going to get a fan controller too but again, budget may prohibit it. Really just need the best solution for not too crazy money as I've already spent more than I should have :)

Any advice appreciated as always. Cheers.

cooling may always be an issue with such a small case, form factor and overclocking, thats why i always use bigger cases, used to only use full towers then cooling and nosie is never a problem, hope you get it sorted, can't really recommend anything as only ever built one small form factor pc tbh

You don't really need a fan controller when the MB can do it for you, that's just more expenses. Have a Google around and try and see which air coolers will fit in it. How far are you planning to overclock?

i am not sure on the dimensions with that case, but i would have thought you would struggle fitting a good CPU cooler in it.

change cpu to ful retail version

change ram to this

the gain you will get from the 1866mhz will be unoticable and saves you 16 quid to pump into your cooling solution.

i think those bitfenix cases do support water cooling so a cheap water cooler would be best ddue to its size.however there are plenty of small or upward facing fans which would do the job.

could you not bare with a midi tower case to allow more room and will save you money?
