need some expert advise

i,m gonna spend some money on a new game rig, i was told this is the place to come for the expert advice,
i have a few quid to spend and lets say £600 is a budget , and then £800 is another budget.
can any u peeps advise me the best 4 items for those amounts of £s

the 4 items in ques are CPU
MBOARD
MEMORY
GCARD

Welcome to the forums, I'm assuming for a second here that you have a decent PSU and all other necessary components. That being so, I think this is what I would go for. The 7900GTXs have just dropped in price recently it appears though so if you are happy to go for one of them then you can either get the Geil PC6400 Ram and/or a better cooler for the CPU.

all that looks good , and if i were to spend the £800 on a sys what will i get to improve on ?

and how much more will it be futureproof ?

Only real improvement would be to get a E6400 or E6600 for the cpu if you were looking to spend more.

If you are planning to overclock the E6400 is the better choice out of the two there.

Well the motherboard you've been specced there is good for overclocking, will you be doing any of this?

If so then you will need a better cpu cooler than what come with retail.

If not then i'd advise you to get a slightly cheaper motherboard and buy a E6600 cpu.

I'd get this graphics card since its faster and has a quieter Cooler on it
