Need some game recommendations

Here's my PC's specs

Windows Vista home premium 32 bit
Core 2 duo @ 2.00 Ghz
Nvidia 8600 GTS 256 MB
3.5 GB RAM 666 Mhz

Doubt It'll be able to handle Crysis or Assassin's Creed. Was wondering what recently released games are there out there that have good gameplay and my PC can handle. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'd get some more ram and a faster CPU first

My PC has the same GFX, a slightly slower CPU and only 2gb of RAM and I played Crysis and Assassins Creed to the end with absolutely no problems (medium settings).

Orange box ( all games in it are Must have games)
DMC4 is you like mindless hack and slash on your game pad, I like it... (you might even get away with dx10 as it runs great)
CoD4 is an awesome shooter.
Live for speed as a Sim racer ( download the demo for free).
You could try Trackmania nations forever, a free game yet very fun online.

My mate has ran assassins creed on low on his 7300GS, so assassins creed should run fine on your 8600GT...
