Planning to buy an X-Fi xtreme gamer based on how you guys have said it makes a difference so i want some headphones to go with it.

My budget is maximum 60ish pounds... i would like to get sennheiser HD959s but 100 pounds is just to steep for me to spend on headphones.

I play mostly games aswell btw.

you say 60ish, you can get the Sennheiser HD595's from a popular auction site for £79.99 new

Oh really! ill look into this right now! im willing to pay80 since ive heard nothing but praise about HD595's

And cause im forking out for X-fi Extreme gamer sound card i want good headdys to boot...

I can just imagine how good CS s is going to sound! will i notice a huge improvement over 2 year old 10quid headphones that are nakkered and onboard sound?

If your willing to spend 80 notes then you have to look also at the beyerdynamic
dt770pro 80ohm headphones. There designed for use in studios but from what i gather they are absolutely fantastic especially if you also use your computer for music and dvds

Tad confuzzled.
Reading many a good thing about the Sennheiser hd595's, and I wanted to know if they can plug in to the trusty ol' Ipod as well?
If so, does it come with an adapter of some sorts?
Can you get like a "mic attachment" for them as I dont want a USB mic (running low on USB slots)

thanks

All Senns comes with a 3.5mm adapter :)
