Need some good PS3 games.

I am going to dust off my PS3 and i have 3 games for it, red dead, metal gear and another game tht excapes me.

what games are a must to play on the ps3 co-op and single player. its been well over 2 years since i been on it apart from blu-ray lol.
 
Last of Us without a shadow of a doubt. However I'm not sure I'd recommend Uncharted 1. It's got some nice set pieces, but I've had to drag my sorry backside through the darned thing... and I'm only doing that because Naughty Dog gave me such a stunning experience with Last. I feel I owe them a little perseverance. :-)

I hope Uncharted2's a bit less formulaic, otherwise it's on to Demon's Souls or finishing Journey. The Journey demo should definitely be tried. There's nothing else quite like is as an experience.

Yea, I'd skip the first Uncharted game. Its incredibly outdated and not the best in the series. It plays like it should be on the PS2.

2 and 3 are both fantastic games, 2 being the better one. Uncharted 2 is just a masterpiece of a game IMO.

2 is by far the best of the trilogy. 2>3>1. I re-played 2 less than a year ago and was hooked start to finish.

Agreed. Don't listen to them. Played all three earlier this year and they are each and every one great games. How can you play 2 without knowing who the characters are? Play them all! :)
 
The first Uncharted is still pretty good. Obviously not up to the same standard as the later titles but it still looks surprisingly decent and lays a bit of framework for the characters in the sequels. There's really no reason to skip it if you want to play the later games anyway.

Plus going from Uncharted to Uncharted 2 lets you see how much more they were able to do with the PS3 hardware and their game engine, the difference is quite staggering.
 
The Last of US is a no brainer. Check out the Ico and SOTC remake if you didn't play them first time around. Demon's and Dark Souls too if you never played them - although the latter is better on the PC if you have the option.
 
Have to agree with the above. Although 2 and 3 are better, Uncharted 1 is still a must play IMO. Even if it just makes 2 and 3 more enjoyable (which it will IMO).
