Need some help/advice

I'm making a loop and just wanted some advice on the items I am going to get, and what I should get.

Here is what I am getting.

Resevoir:

I would like some help on:

What size tubing should I/can I get? I'm not 100% sure on what size(s) would fit on these products?

What fittings I should/can get? I would like compression fittings. Is this possible? Are most compression fittings the 'same' or are there definitely better ones you guys know of?

I will be using just distilled water, what should I put into the water? Anti corrosion? Anti Algae? I'm not 100% sure again.

What else do I need to think about? Am I missing anything small or even important? Something has probably slipped my mind knowing me!

What size tubing should I/can I get?

What fittings I should/can get?

Its personal preference, I prefer barbs and 1/2" tubing. If you prefer compressions then go for that, just make sure they match the tubing you go with, as for tubing it doesn't make a difference these days as the restrictive tubing has been phased out of the market, just go with the thickness you prefer visually.

You will need something to prevent corrosion and something biocidal to prevent bacteria, I use a 90% de-ionized water and 10% Toyota red long life coolant mix.

No offence but if its your first time you may be better just buying a premixed fluid like mayhems, that has corrosion and biocide in it IIRC.
