need some help choosing a bridge camera

hi guys
im new to photography and thought id take it up as a hobbie, just wondered what bridge cameras you would choose for a starter and a budget of £250 ish

i looked at a Fujifilm FinePix S2960 Digital Camera
or nikon coolpix l120

are they any good or anything out there ?

The Olympus EPL1 + kit lens has dropped to ~£270 (less if you can use Tesco clubcard points at Jessops.)

Fantastic value for those starting out or those looking to downsize.
