Need some help choosing Monitor and Speakers!

I am looking for a decent 24 or 27" monitor for gaming. I have heard good things about BenQ so have been looking at those recently, especially since one is on sale at the moment.
Also alongside the monitor I will be looking for some speakers, so some recommendations would be appreciated.

Between HDMI or DVI, what do you use, if using 1920x1080p would it be worth using HDMI?
Also for just gaming and surfing the internet should I go for a 60 or 120hz as I have heard it is not worth paying that much more for double refresh rate?

Hi, I have this monitor and I love it. See this TFT Central Review. Typically out of the box it looked terrible but after following the review and hardware calibration and then downloading the profile, my god what a difference, it looks great, Far Cry 3 is simply superb in 1080p on 27". If your budget is £200 or less then this is a steal on TWO at £179.99. If you can afford the 2560X1440 27" and your graphics card can cope then thats the way to go. :)
 
When you mean on TWO do you mean two year warranty?
Also good to hear about the monitor, but would you say it is worth extra and getting the other BenQ as it is 144Hz refresh rate?
