Hi guys, was just wondering if I could grab some help. Looking to buy a new PC for around £1.100 (can't really go over that price by much, though), and I've found some pre-builds on the main site that have caught my eye. I know it's cheaper to buy all the bits yourself and assemble it but I really don't have much confidence in my ability to do that. If it's any help, I will be using this machine for gaming and watching downloaded moves/shows, not graphical work or anything like that. That said, I've narrowed down my purchase (I think) to either:

or

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-065-OE

It seems to me that the second option is the better one, and yet it's also cheaper, so I must be missing something.

My main question is what would be my best setup when it comes to the optional parts? I would really rather get it with no OS at all, and install Windows 7 RC when it arrives at my house (I've got W7 on pre-order), but would it still be overclocked in that case? I literally have no experience with overclocking. I've always assumed it was a software process (at least partly), so would that require an OS on it whilst it was built? Or can I buy it blank, install W7 RC and it'll still be overclocked? As I said, my ignorance is astounding when it comes to overclocking.

Also, I have no idea which graphics card to get. I'd like to get the best combination (as long it doesn't exceed £1.100 by much), but I've heard wildly varying advice as to whether ATI or nVidia are the better options.

Finally, the case. Would the basic model be good enough? I assume so, or it wouldn't be offered, but I'd just like to make sure. I don't want to buy an overclocked system and then have it overheat! I won't be doing any overclocking of my own, however, so that shouldn't be an issue - it'll just be the tweaking it comes with.

Sorry for the wall of text, and thanks for your help people :D

Id recomend the 2nd one, hands down, for your upgrades Id go for

gfx ATI 4890 - £53.91 best value for money/performance
case antec 902 - £57.39 while the stock one will do, this is much better, runs cooler and has things like dust filters etc
total £1008.48
