all other information is currently on the build log. not very big, but thats everything else you will need to know.

no burning smell, and no i didn't connect the cooler atm.... It was turned on for about 1min, shouldn't of been enough time to damage the cpu i hope. also im going to use the stock thermal paste for the mean time.

coller clearance is good tbh, it was positioned like that because i forgot the cpu power supply cable, so took it off to accomodate and never fitted it back on. Im now going to take it to a local computer shop and get them to test it, just to be sure i haven't caused any damage.

@JonSmith, i couldn't find any speaker like component. dunno if its just me or i have misplaced it.

@Danny75: i will shimmy the ram into 2nd and 4th slot when i get home at about 8pm.

You won't need a shop mate, just get the cpu block on, move the RAM over to 2 and 4, although that wouldn't cause the problem I don't think it would just mean it wouldn't run in dual channel mode. Try to boot with the motherboards DVI output, and if all is good, put the card in the top slot, and try with the gpu. Out of curiosity, what id the led post code reading ? try to make a note of the sequence, from pressing the power button until it stops.

I wouldn't worry mate, most cases don't come with a speaker now. One tip though, I now us blokes don't like to read a manual but it might help mate.

I installed the motherboard according to the manual, the ram i didn't know about and i will get the sequence. Just need to figure out where to plug all the H100i's stuff into the motherboard

GOOD NEWS!!! so good i cracked open a packet of smarties, so i done what every1 said. If turned on all fine and i got the following message on the screen:
yQbOYMv.jpg

also the little display on the motherboard was showing a D7 error i assume. So please lend me your knowledge
