hello, been having a bit of a problem and im not 100% on what it is.
basically, im currently with BT and stuck with their Homehub (the very first model they put out)
the first problem is i have to do a hard reset every week or so as my d/L speed drops from around 6mb to 0.7 (apparently after 2 hours on the phone to support this is cus the hub is knackered, so need to get a new one)
the other more irritating problem is if i play Left4dead or Call of duty4 it runs almost fine, but if i do either of them while on skype (which is how my friends and i voice chat) i get lag spikes, where the game will just freeze, the screen will judder for a few seconds then it'll go back to normal for a bit.
im not sure what the problem is, is it another problem with the hub? is my upload speed too slow (about 330kb/sec on a good day) or is my connection just not up to it?
thought it best to diagnose this before paid for a new homehub, or changed ISPs
