Need some help on Bioshock last boss

So I really want to finish the game now, I tried to ignore it and just left the game to collect dust but I want the ahievement and I don't like leaving games unfinished. I can drain him 3 times of Adam, the first 2 times are no problem because I can disable the alarms but the third time is a real pain in the butt.it's the people that help him, just way too much too take on. Any tips?
 
I thought he was the easiest final boss ive played in many games lol, what i did was fill up my chemical thrower with electric, and have a shot gun full of electric shot. Near the end i didnt bother shooting his minions and just concentrated on him, chucking a few mines on floor can also makes it fairly easy!
 
Problem is I entered the room with just 7 crossbow bolts , no ammo for any other weapon and I can't backtrack to get more.
 
Nope, I always overwrite my saves, I don't mind playing through the game again it's great I really enjoyed it
 
While we're on the subject of saves, I nearly died last night. I chose save and quit on Dead Rising....
I DIDNT KNOW IT MEANT QUIT THE GAME AND REMOVE YOUR SAVED POSITION IN THE GAME. Bah Phooey.

lol :D Off topic, But i thought I'd let you know you're not the only 1 wading through a game for the second time
 
Thats what I hated about Dead Rising, I am so used to autosaves and used to spend hours on it racking up kills and completing cases then all because I died and never saved, back to square one, but some games like Bioshock and GOW are just games I can play over and over.

When he sent the splicers on me, I just ignored them and went for him - I'm sure that once you kill him the next time they go away, they didn't really do much to me anyway.

Mind you only having crossbow ammo kind of sucks as it would be so much easier just using a shotgun on them - if you have take all the pictures you can of the security drones (if you have you can instantly hack them by hitting X once their disabled), just hack 2 of them quickly and they will take care of the splicers for you.
