ok this is my first time building a desktop from scratch so any help would be good . i will only use if for gaming

in thinking of useing this :
antec 1200 case;
asus M4A79D EVO ( not looking to run more than 2 graphics cards so i think this will do, but not sure )
windows 7 premium 64bit
AMD PHENOM 2 X4 965
8 gb ddr3 ram ( some help would be nice on what too get )
ATI HD 5850
1tb harddrive
cheap dvd drive
asus triton 88 or a asus lion square cpu cooler
psu ( i hsve no idea on what too get. what watt psu would i need )

i have been reading that the ram ports on the mobo are real close to the prosessor so if you had a big cpu cooler then some types of ram wont fit. so some help on this would be good .

my budget is about £850

anyhelp would be good cheers

I just put the above component list into OCUK, I used a 550W Corsair PSU and a scythe Ninja rev 2 (costs about the same as the asus triton 88) and it gave me a total cost of £1030 delivered.

Do you want to use this budget or do you want the best gaming performance you can get for £850?

yer sorry my prices are all over the place from useing differant websites and stuff. umm my top limit is £900. so the best gaming proformance fot that price would be good. i have been using other uk websites for some of the stuff cus prices are a little cheaper on some of the stuff ( i think )

Have a look at the thread in my sig/at top of page, theres a £700 AMD build which is similar to what you want, youve got £100 to spend here (allowing £100 for OS) so you could up the gfx card from the 4890 to a 5850 if you want, the compromise youre making is in areas such as case, cooler and RAM (as already said though theres no need for 8 gig of RAM for gaming)

right this is what i going too get. but i better run it past all of you before i get it :

Asus M4A79XTD Evo (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard ;
