OK got a PC with the below specs

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz

MSI GTX 780

MSI Z87 GD65 Mobo

XFX Pro 650W PSU

1 x2TB HDD.

Have no OCs set .

but when i try to boot it up all it's doing is looping ie on the Debug LEDs on the Mobo its going through what looks to me like 10 then 15 then 19 then 55, and thats all its doing.....on the first attempt at booting it BSOD'ed but was too quick for me to see or make any sense of what might be the issue

I should also add that the Mobo , CPU and the 780 were an upgrade , the Ram is Black Dragon 2 x4Gig kit

I did try another 8 Gig of ram...but made no difference.

so any help would be appreciated thank you :)

Sounds like a mobo or PSU issue.

All cables etc connected? :p

Can you test with another PSU?

Also might be worth testing the CPU in another motherboard i.e the one in your spec, so we can eliminate the CPU as well.

If all goes well then that probably leaves us with the motherboard at fault.

Yeah I was thinking that maybe its the Mobo itself...as I had the very issue with an MSI Mobo before which was an MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Series

yeah all cables are as they should be

also i do have a EVGA G2 750 PSU that I could try ...and see if that makes any difference

probably the board if its msi, seem to see a lot of issues

but try and narrow things down like testing with no hdd's attached or graphic card and use one memory stick in any slot and use the integrated igpu then see what happens

if its still looping carefully visually inspect the cpu socket for any bent pins

unplug everything
Take out your gpu

plug psu 24 pin and 8 pin and check connections on both ends
insert 1 stick of ram (try multiple slots)
cpu inserted
try boot up.

If it loops you can assume it's a mobo issue

well I did a windows repair ( or tried to )..and it came up with Error Code 0x490 ?...think it's the mbr ?...but I cant even get to use the Windows DVD/CD because it wont let me get that far...it just Blue screens

But having said all that....I go to try again and it just loops again

Yeah so it seems as though it was a Windows issue after all ...something to do with the mbr....so i went for a clean install of Windows, and all seems fine :)

but would like to say thanks for the help :)
