I've been happy using a 24" 1080p monitor for general purpose use for a few years.

Just lately I'm getting what can be best described as eye burn if I hang around too much in front of that monitor right now so I want to go to a screen that has the low blue light and flicker free tech.

I'm considering jumping up to a 27" or even 32" screen but I understand anything larger than 27" would not pair well with 1080p and I can kind of understand how a large monitor like that would require more definition to get the best from it.

Can anyone help me understand the relationship between screen size and resolutions etc to help me choose?

Thanks.

Yeah, all I'm getting there are technical articles that don't really help me.

I get it that higher res gives you sharper images and more room for display on the same size screen with sharper icons etc.

If I'm happy with 1080p at 24" then it's not too much to expect me to be happy at 27" with 1080p but at 32" 1080p could start to lose it's sharpness, even for day to day stuff?

Or does it start to drop out at 27"?

Also seems that input source contributes a fair bit so if I'm not using higher res sources then what's the point in using a higher res screen.

Just want to know at what size screen does 1080p start to lose definition I guess.
