So i have a HTPC in the living room connected directly to the router which use to see the shared folders on my bedroom PC (Main PC) and thus i was able to play movies in the living room.

BUT, since i now use a virgin super-hub (instead of a netgear router) which is a modem and router in one, the HTPC downstairs no longer sees the shared folders.

Nothing has changed on the HTPC or the Main PC and both are still part of the WORKGROUP so im assuming its something in the superhub which is preventing the HTPC seeing the shared folders.
HTPC still has internet access via the superhub direct connection.

Any ideas guys???

These aren't necessarily all related (I'm not familiar with the superhub), but may help with debugging for whoever comes along next:

- How are each connected? (Wireless/Wifi)
Both PC's are hardwired to the hub
- Are there any other machines on the network? Can those machines see one or both of the main pc and HTPC?
No other machines connected.
- Can the HTPC ping the main PC, and vice versa?
Not sure how to ping
- Are you using hostname or IP to connect to the other machine?
Hostname i think, ive never entered an IP in the past.

In the past, the shared folders would appear in the Network Places folder but now they dont.
