Hi guys :D looking at buying a top of the range pc, i wont be building it however im looking at OCUK to make it :P not becuase im lazy but no 1st idea what im doing.

I like the idea of a smaller case pc, ideally a micro atx ? but still with enough room for me to fiddle with internals in the future.

My budget will be around £2200 which must also inclue a decent monitor.

Any help would be much appreiciated.

Reason for speccing the cheaper monitor is that the spec is slightly over budget already, and the build fee will make it higher.

If Nvidia's DSR works as it should, you could transform games from 1920x1080 into 2560x1440 on the cheaper Acer, through GeForce Experience or Nvidia Control Panel, to get the more expensive Asus ROG Swift monitor experience. But I haven't messed about with it (DSR) to know. Some feedback says it works, other feedback that it doesn't work that great right now.

The case is a pretty large one for a micro-ATX and a very good one, so there should be enough room for you to work comfortably, internally, when you have to.

Note that you can go for a GTX 970 instead, it shouldn't have a problem, and you could always add another 970 if it begins to struggle with some future games. Likewise, an i5-4690K will handle games no problem. And 8GB RAM is still fine for gaming. Just that the i7-K, 980 and 16GB RAM are more or less within reach of your budget. If you want to spend considerably less right now, you can:

With the latter, you can still go SLI, upgrade to an i7-K if you like, and add more RAM. But if it's fine for your gaming needs (it should be), you'd have saved a bit of money (and both builds look just as good, if you like white that is).

After seeing that review (great review) Stu posted (cheers), I'm even more impressed with the case. Phanteks have it locked down, quality/features/price-wise. Didn't know it fitted a 280mm rad up top, either. That could be an option too.

By the way, if you do go for a SuperFlower PSU + any case, the code for free shipping is SFCASE.
