Hi All,

Just about to buy and build a new PC and aside from the all out rage I am feeling in regards the GFX card situation I am also now, happily, seeing a price drop in AM4 MoBo's

This leaves me thinking, now that budget is a bigger concern given what I am going to have to spend on GFX and given the price drops in MoBos do I go higher end B350 (around £100) or lower end x370 (around £120-£130).

Not overly fussed about SLI, prob getting a 580 anyway.

I know the difference is small but that £30 saving is £30 off other components.

Thanks All.

EDIT - As a side point, given the current costs and assuming you have to pick would you go GTX1070 or RX580? Take it as a bit of a survey to help me decide, just add the model choice at the end should you choose to reply to my main point. Thanks!

There's a question, am I going to OC?

IN the past with my current PC I have clocked the dangly bits off it at various times. I have hit CPU, RAM and GPU to its max and then some. Now though I feel I just want to hit an easy stable OC level, something sustainable and arguably just making the parts stretch their legs within the speeds of their processor family maybe. Rather than trying to squeeze it to the very limit.

That being said, still x370?

I didnt realise you was on about amd chips......I am an intel fan so dont know much about the amd boards, hence my editing my post...thats all :)

after I read your post i had a look at the differences between the b350 and the x370 boards and unlike the intel boards I read you can actually overclock on the b350 boards so maybe thats the way you should go if you are looking for a nice stable oc with out pushing the limits. Save a bit of money but still able to have a little oc on your chip.
