Need some help with Display Port

Just got my new Dell U2412M and noticed my AMD Zacate HTPC doesn't have a DP port on it

Anyway can I use a DVI or HDMI to DP adapter?, if so which should I pick up?, guessing DVI since I think HDMI will only go to 1080p?

If your HTPC has DVI out then just use a DVI to DVI cable.

One should have come in the box with the monitor.

The image quality will be no different using DVI instead of DP.

Yeah but my main PC will be taking up the DVI input thats why I'm only left with VGA or DP, and don't really want to use VGA
