Need some help with iTunes playlists please... doing my nut in!

Basically i'm trying to completely seperate all of my Pop & Rock music from my Dance music, but can't seem to find how to do it. I thought it was by using the playlists, but each time I create a "Dance Music" playlist and then add all my Dance music to it, it all gets lumped into the main library along with everything else and completely screws up my ordering.

So basically, how can I completely and permanently seperate them please.

You have seperate playlists on the side for the separation.
EVERYTHING is in the main library.
Make a playlist for each type then add them all in then just use the lists, not the main.

Im pretty sure this is the only way to do it. you can sort by genre and then drag and drop into the playlists which should make it easy enough to do

Oh damn it that's annoying... oh well thanks guys i'll just do it that way I guess *sigh*
