First of all: I'm rather bad making builds, last time I picked pretty much all wrong stuff, had to replace pretty much everything. Now all those components need an update its time for a retry! (With some help of you guys)

I'm thinking of buying a PC and chose the following specs, I'm wondering if you guys could check it out:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, Socket 775
RAM: Kingston KVR800D2N5K2/4G,4096MB, DDR2
Videocard: Sapphire Radeon HD4850,GDDR3, PCI Express x16
Antec EarthWatts,Retail, 650Watt
Motherboard: ???

As you can see its a bit of a budget pc and because I'm not experienced with overclocking and the kind of person I am, I think I'm too afraid blowing up something or badly reducing the lifetime of my hardware. :/

Oke nows where the questions come:

- I have a hardtime to decide what motherboard I should be picking, all these chipsets just make my head spin.

- The RAM: I've read about timings in the FAQ and even tho I didn't fully understand it, I can't really make out the timings on my RAM?

- Is 650W overkill on PSU?

- Any other comments on my build are welcome :P

---

If there's anything I forgot to say, forgive me :< :D

Thanks for your help and time, its appreciated :)

Thanks for trying to help, but fact is, the builds in the links are pretty much different than mine, I have no idea what my mistakes would be now? Is my build just bad? And haven't really found the answers on my other questions ;)

motherboard asus p5q range if you are not going to crossfire
i would get a good 400-500W PSU like a corsair, seasonic, a better antec etc
