manualy possible to 4.4-4.5 i be happy with, but due to all new chip and mobo not sure where to start.if anyone could help us would be a big thank you at the end

I found that overclocking a i2700k was pretty straightforward - with minimum input needed.

I was not looking for more than 4.5 and have settled , for the time being, at 4.3. (have given it a go at 4.6 and no problems running IBT etc)

Was not happy to let the Asus suite run any overclock upon a permanent basis but found it a useful tool to simply increase the multi and get an idea of voltage being put through.

Did my final clocking through the Bios and found the keys were the multi and a negative offset.- if I remember correctly nothing else needed changing and dependent upon what multi you choose and the volts that the board puts through to run it you may not need to use the offset.

Link below to my thread ref. the overclock etc which hopefully will be of use.

just an update

did some messing and i have now oc to 4.6 @ 1.34v in cpu-z, prime95 over night about 10 hrs, real temp highest temp recorded is 78oc.
i think that their still some room for adjustments on the vcore to bring it down maybe to 1.28v or lower
