Hello Fellas

Im a total noob at watercooling and even having read some tutorials still dont understand what i will need.

What i am proposing to do is watercool a E6300 and an X1950XT.
My case is the Akasa Eclipse 62.

what i really want is a silent running setup.
Can anyone help a brother out?

-What parts will i need?
-Setup?

PS. Zalman Res 2 is not in the running as its crap and far too expensive.

Thermochill PA120.2 or Thermochill 120.3 rad
Laing DDC or DDC2 pump + Petras top (Or similar third party top to give pump 1/2" fittings)
Tygon tubing
EK GPU Block(Not sure which as ive not looked at the full ATI GPU range)
D-Tek Fuzion CPU Block
Swiftech MCRES res or Danger Den fillport if your going with a T-Line.
Hose clamps or Jubilee clips
T-piece if your going with a T-line

1-2 litres of Distilled water
Pentosin G11
Biocide

Thats should just about cover it. :)

thanks messiah.

Couple of questions for you mate (i've seen your gallery and its damn impressive) as you seem like a pro when it comes to watercooling:

- will this be quiet?
- housing; internal or external?
- cost?

thx

Cheers. :) I hardly call myself a pro, as this rig was my first venture into phase and watercooling. But I did do a LOT of research beforehand and now know a lot more about it all.

Yes it should be quiet. The only noise will come from the pump(Which is very quiet or nearly silent if mounted well) and the Fans on the Rad. Ive got Nexus fans at 12v. Im fairly sure that if you had Nexus or Yate Loon fans at 7v, you wouldn't be able to hear them unless you placed your head inside the case. Internal all the way. Im not really a fan of having random components outside the case. Cost; well your looking at roughly;

Rad ~£50
Pump ~£50
Third Party Top ~£15
Tygon tubing ~£1.50 per foot
EK GPU Block ~£50
D-Tek Fuzion CPU Block ~£40
Swiftech MCRES res or Danger Den fillport if your going with a T-Line. ~£12
Hose clamps or Jubilee clips ~£6
T-piece if your going with a T-line ~£1

1-2 litres of Distilled water ~£2
Pentosin G11 ~£2.50
Biocide ~£2.50

So all in your probably looking at £200-£250 for a top end setup.
