Hey, just bought a 4850 and i can't find the latest updates on the ati/amd site.

Can someone give me some tips on what i should be installing and the links? e.g. drivers.

Is it normal for this card to be running very hot even on idle? im getting around 80 degrees!

Should i install both the catalyst 8.6 and the hotfix?

What temps are you guys getting from your 4850's? mine wont go below 80 degrees on idle.

That's normal, the stock cooler is bugged and won't go above 14% speed. But even so you might want to check out an aftermarket cooler as the PCB has the holes in the right places to take older heatsinks which are cheap-ish, like the Accelero S1.

Offically yes, only EVGA let you swap a cooler.

unofficially would they know if i just put the old cooler back on.
