Need some help!!

Hi guys and gals

Ive had my current pc for over a year which came from ocuk and was very pleased with it until last night ! I was playing diablo 3 and game crashed black screen but hard drive cpu fans and gpu fan going... So rebooted got back in but suffered lagg then boom same this time reboot no signal... So i thought my gou gone so got my old pci e card and put it in same problem ! So turned on borard grapics on and could turn on pc if i place a card in pc not boot ? Anyone idea not want buy mobo then powerdupply and so on when im not sure whats happened

Any ideas ??? Had no overheating problems or signs o problems leading up to last night

Sorry to hear about your issues.

Have you got another PSU you can try in there?

Just to clear it up, it works on on-boards, but not with a GPU?

what mobo, psu (make/model) and graphics card do you have/tried in the system ?

could you please put the spec on it sound like your pcie slot has gone if it is not accepting any cards but your ondoard is working

Sounds like a GPU problem. Is there a second PCI-E slot you can put your GPU in to test if it's the slot or the card?

Only one pci e slot. Card that was in was asus nvidia 1gb not got model atm. Old one i tried cause thought adu had gone was my old
Msi 512 nivia 8800gt believe . Mobo is gigabyte ga-g41m es2l 4gb ram power supply 650watt powercool came installed in case from new

Oh believe asus 9500 gt if im right will try find more out soon

Also i dont have spare power supply and dont want throw money on one if mobo is knackered

Strugglin find anyone most aint pc gamers. Only one i know has alienware setup and doesnt want open the case

That powercool PSU isn't too great, so it could possible be a problem.

Also just curious why you would downgrade from your old 8800GT to and inferior 9500GT?

Basicly the 512 8800 gt was low on fps when in the likes o wow so went to the asus 1gb improve it tbh not 100 percent is its 9500gt as cant remeber and not got the box but it has a huge heatsink and incased fan system so i might be wrong ill have go into the loft and find the boxing to confirm. I was more after knowing qhat others thought of the issue as i tried swappin cards and i was not sure where start
