Hello,

I am looking to build a new computer however it's been a long time since I have had to do this and I have not kept up to date with anything. After talking with friends I know roughly what I would like but I don't understand the differences between a lot of the components (especially motherboards).

If someone could help me I would be very grateful. I am looking to spend around £1200 (inc VAT) without monitors, keyboard or mouse.

Looking for:

Case - just a normal size to sit under a desk, plus with space to add in more HD's, another Graphics Card down the line, blueray player, etc
PSU
Motherboard
Processor - been told different advice regarding i5 and i7 so which ever
16gb RAM
128gb SSHD
1TB 7200rpm HD
Graphics Card - best I can get as I game a bit
Network card - wireless
DvD player
Win7 - Home Premium is fine

Thank you very much for reading.

triggerthat, I am sorry I didn't see your reply when I asked this question.

I ended up not buying at computer at the end of September because of car troubles.

I am now in the position to buy it now. And I was wondering if there is anything to change in either of these set-ups?

I've had issues with ATI cards in the past so I leaning towards the nVidia one.

Is is worth getting Windows 8 over Windows 7? I've used Windows 7 for awhile and do get on with it pretty well.

The Antec case is not in stock at the moment, can you recommend another?

Thank you in advance again.
