Had a problem with booting my machine,I have explained below.

1 x NVME
1 x SSD
2 x HDD

I don't use the HDD's anymore so i unplugged them as they were just for storage before i started using cloud storage, when i went to boot up my computer it was asking for a boot device even though my NVME has windows on it, tried to reboot a couple of times for it to work and it didn't so i thought i would plug the HDD's back in again and bingo it booted again, any ideas what could be causing it not to boot when the HDD's aren't plugged in as i would like them gone!

TL : DR
computer won't boot when i unplug my HDD's but it will boot when i plug the HDD's back in even though windows is on my NVME.

Windows 10 i am guessing?

Happened to me a few weeks ago too ....when w10 installed it put some boot info on the HDD ...when you removed them you removed the required data......even changing the ports they are connected to can cause a problem as it did with mine.

When installing W10 make sure only the main drive is connected it seems.
