In need of some advice in regards a ticket purchase my dad and myself made back in November for the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Belgium.

For a bit of background for those not into Formula 1 the Belgium Grand Prix was in fact cancelled end of January/early February- some 2 months after we had purchased tickets for the event.

We bought 3 tickets on 1 Mastercard totalling around the £750 mark in total.

Since then it has obviously been a case of claiming the money back, in the emails and attempted phonecalls to the circuit we keep getting the response of 'you will not be wronged' as an automated voicemail on the telephone and also via email.

So we have contacted the credit card company. We have now sent them evidence and the like over to them regards this issue, however they have said they may not be able to do anything until the date of the Belgium Grand Prix has passed...which is mid-September.

Now the question is, where to go from here...I have contacted another address for the Belgium Grand Prix and have been told ticket allocation is dealt with by a company called DDGP (I have their contact details but have not attempted to reach them yet, not sure if I am just going to get a Belgium person on the phone who cannot understand me.) This company dealt with the allocations in both 2005, 2006 (the defunct year) and are also doing the dealings next year; to add a twist however from what I can see on news stories of them they are now bankrupt or are in liquidation

So does anyone have any advice on where we go or what we do from here? I suppose we are going to have to wait to see what the credit cards say, but waiting until September and longer is not an ideal situation.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Tom
