With the new F1, BF3 and various other games on the horizon i'm itching for new hardware and a bit more beef.
Current components I'll be using in new rig;
Corsair HX750, CM690, HD6850 (subject to change). Corsair H50.

Which mobo's are on top at the moment for i5 2500k cpu's?
Would like 8gb of ram... Corsair?

Cheers :)

Thanks stulid.

Budget isn't really an option, within sensible limits of course. I won't be spending k's.

I paid that for my current Gigabyte motherboard. Nice. I was looking at the Asus mobo's, seem to have good OC'ing potential.

Never had much luck OC'ing my i5, think it's due to my memory incompatibility. Hopefully a new i5 2500k and compatible memory will give me a good clock.

Thanks guys, any other suggestions for a new board other than the Gigabyte?
Shall match it with compatible RAM when decided on a board.

I've not seen much luck with Crossfire cards, but that may just be me reading the bad threads. Thanks for the suggestion of a 2nd 6850, I was fancying a GTX570 so...

i5 2500k 3.30 Ghx Sandybridge CPU was the one I was looking at?

Thanks stulid... looks like the Kingston is a strong contender.
I shall hopefully be overclocking the CPU, does dual channel put more strain on the CPU when overclocked compared to Tri-Channel RAM? Remember reading something somewhere...

Thanks. All I needed to know on that :)
What SSD do you recommend? M4 or Corsair Force Series 3? Not sure whats the better.... the sequential write speed of the M4 is significantly less than the Corsair.

Current system; i5 750 (stock), 4GB Gskill RAM, Kingston SSDNow+, gigabyte Ud3. (cant remember the model)

So would you see the M4 as a better alternative to the Corsair?

Yes I'll be selling the old kit when the new stuff arrives and is working.

4Gb is nice, I'm just future proofing with 8GB now rather than later. Understandable?
