Hi.

Im still using my crappy Microsoft wireless mouse for gaming, which as you can guess, puts me at a disadvantage when playing shooters, as Im fighting my mouse as much as the enemy!

I bought a Razer Death Adder, to begin with. nice mouse, but the hump at the top was too high and the over all dimensions of the mouse where too big for my hand.

Then I took the plung again and bought a steel series kinzu. Again, accurate mouse, but this time the mouse was way too small and light weight for my hand, so I returned it as I did with the Death adder.

Any one have any recommendations?

I prefer plain mice, dont need fancy nothing.

A freind let me test out his Logitech MX518, but again, I didnt like this either, too big, and too moulded for my liking.

Im thinking I might try the microsoft gaming mouse (cant remeber the name) or was looking at the Razer abysus.

Any ideas?

Not sure what to suggest. Don't go for the G5 - that is a big mouse, imo. Yes, perhaps looking at some of the microsoft mice would be worth it. What you are looking for is basically an improved version of what you have, dpi, sensor type etc.

I use the logitech mx revolution, it's a cracker but it may be too large for your hand. You could try the netbook version of it, obviously smaller with all the same feautures. Highly reccomended by myself and loads of other people.

If you like the shape of the ms mouse why not go for a wired version? Obviously it will lack Extra buttons and dpi adjustment bit just the fact its wired will sharpen twins up for you quite nicely.

Just to add, I went from am ms mouse to the mx518 and I wasn't sold on it straight away.... any mouse will take a few weeks to get accustomed to, after all, its the main interface between you and the pc when gaming.

Good point. It took me...probably several months to really feel comfortable with the G5. Once I was used to it I had no intention of changing it. It lasted me for four or five years.

So the Habu is recommended?

There are 3 im looking at the Habu, the Abysus and the diamondback.

The current mouse I have is just a generic wireless microsoft one.

which is the closest out of those three to my microsoft mouse?

I also have the Habu, be wary of the double click issue, after a while it's quite common for it to double click when you single click.

I resolved this by dismantling and cleaning the whole unit, hasn't done it since.

However based on your OP, it's pretty huge as far as mice go and it might be too big for your hand.

Ms intellimouse (wired) is the closest and will feel sharper than the wireless version.
I would strongly suggest you give the mx518 a proper trial though, personally.
