Hi there, joined this forum because a friend recommended it and I have a question.

I have done a bunch of research for my first home build on a mid-high budget range gaming computer and after a month of searching I have come up with:

Case: Casecom 6788
Fans: 3x cheap 120mm, 1x casecom 140mm
HDD: 1TB barracuda
RAM: Kingston 8gb ddr3
PSU: Coolermaster gx 750w
GPU: MSI GTX 670 2GB
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77D3H
Processor: Intel i5 3570k overclock to 4.2GHz
Cooling: Arctic freezer7, Arctic silver paste
OS: win7 64 bit oem

Overall this comes to roughly £865

Before I go buying stuff I thought it'd be smart to see what more experienced people think of this build and any changes/ suggestions you might have and why.

Thanks in advance

-MSI 670, very good card + reputable maker
-3570k...need I say more?
-OS
-Good mobo, if you're planning on Sli get the Z77X-D3H
-Semi modular PSU
-1Tb HDD
Changed the case, this one is exceptional value for money, but cases are very personal things, so it's up to you
-Good RAM (on offer)
-Very good value for money CPU cooler

GPU wise you can't really go wrong with a 670, your spec is pretty good but I haven't looked at the case.

750w is overkill for a single 670, 550w will easily do you.

Changed the cooler to one that I personally feel is better, also check out coolermaster and gelid.

The only thing to say is if you're looking to go Sli in the future then you'll need to change the mobo.

Edit to add: Case looks like its very good for the money as well, just from a very quick google browse

Thanks for the reply. I was going to get a 750w so I could re-use it for future builds and upgrades, would this be a good idea? I think my case is fine for me and very good value so that's fine.

I was most worried about the gpu because I still don't really understand them so thanks for clearing that up and for the sli tip.

As for the cpu cooler would the arctic freezer get the job done? I don't really want to spend more if it can be helped.

The only reason you would need more power is do accommodate SLI/Xfire. The current CPU/GPU technology is getting less power hungry. Would you want to accommodate SLI/Xfire, if you're not bothered a bit of money could be saved.

My advice: get an SSD, you will love them.

If getting a GTX 670, the jetstream is very well reviewed and seems to be one of the cheapest and highest clocked. Bargain.
