Currently looking at T-Mobile with the Relax 30 + WW Plan

Now if I get a PDA its free but if I get the PDA with CoPoliot software its £70..

Was looking at either:

MDA Compact 2 (which i prefer)
or
SDA 2 Phone

Now is it worth spending £70 extra, will it be fast enough? Do these phones come with GPS or is that included in the £70?

If the phones have gps built it would it be better/cheaper buying software seperatly?

When I went to the T-Mobile store last the CoPilot packages included a seperate GPS receiver. So for an extra £70 that sounds like a good deal. TomTom + reciever will set you back much more than that.

yeah, that is a really good deal...
tomtom and receiver will set you back about 169, route 66 from nokia about the same if you buy them seperately...
dont think there are any phonesa bout which actually have built in GPS receivers..
as for the phones being quick enough, i dont think the apps are that strenuous on them, i mean if my nokia n70 will run it, i would expect a pda to be able to

There are one or two phones with built in GPS, Mio make one from memory.

I have the MDA compact with Co-pilot. It comes with a GPS receiver. I thought it was superb. I killed the receiver and am now looking at £40+ for a new one. So YES it is worth it.

I've managed to run TomTom 5 on my SE P910i a few times using a bluetooth GPS reciever. Worked pretty damn well too, I was expecting it to be slow but it's on par with a PDA imo.

The software on a Memory Stick, and the GPS receiver set me back £100 from the computer show which was quite a steal I thought.
