Need some Recording/Monitoring Cans

Right, need to get myself some cans, and I'll be pressing the buy button on these today (after umming and ahhing for months)


I've got a budget of about £100 give or take a few, and there's one pair I have in mind for price bracket...

Beyerdynamic DT-990 Pro's


I've not heard a single bad thing about these, and I've been told they'll last and last and last.


Does anyone else have any input on whether these are the pair to get.
Or whether another pair in the £100 price range would be better.

I'm not going to be using them on the tube/train so don't need closed (to keep the music away from the other people ) and I prefer the sound of open ones
