Need some small tyres

Have just collected a Mk4 Golf for my sister and the tyres on it are rubbish so need to be binned.

Recommendations for good tyres available in 175/80 R14 would be appreciated

The best tyres I can see so far are Continental Eco Contact 3's - are these any good?

Yes they are. Probably what I would use.

Cool, that's what I thought - the sort of tyres I'd usually buy aren't available in balloon sizes sadly.

I put Toyos on my girlfriend's car, they seem to stick to the road quite well in the wet. Got Proxes at the front and whatever their normal ones are at the back. I think the Proxes were about £48 each and the cheaper ones about £42 from my local independent place. Probably get a better deal if you get all 4 at once.
