Need some spec help please.....

...going to be used in an office for DTP, video, web and animation work, min requirements are..

Quad core
4 gb mem
8800 gtx overkill?
24 inch screen
raid and external storage

I might slightly overclock but would have to be well within limits as this is a mission critical machine.

Thanks in advance, would like to order today if I can.

As a mission critical machine imo I wouldnt overclock it.

Its a good set up, what RAM are you thinking of buying?

Well I overclocked my 6600 server in the office to 3.12 but it is watercooled, I will overclock but not by much, re the ram I was thinking geil 2 x 2gb 6400

Loose the PSU, you dont need that much power.

buy cheaper speakers which will save you more money: and have a look at my thread and the suggestions that poeple have made, I'm in the same boat as you but also want a bit of gaming, also ive decided to get further 2gb later on:

I hope that might give you an idea. I also admit I dont think the mobo is good for overclocking though so my thread might not be that much help to you.

OCZ 4GB (2x2048) Vista Performance Gold DDR2 PC2-6400 Dual Channel memory Plus Gold XTC Heatspreader

Also Ive sacked the stacker and swapped for an Antec 900 which has shaved £60 off the price

Thats fine for the Memory.

Unless your planning going SLI which is poo anyway

. The Corsair 620 model will be fine for upgrades in the future.
