Need some stereo speakers.

I'm currently looking to buy some new speakers for my new computer, but I don't really have the space for a subwoofer, so I'll need a nice set of desktop stereo speakers that still have sufficient bass for around the £60 mark. So far I've come up with the Creative Gigaworks T20 speakers.

I just wondered if anyone had any better suggestions. Also, will speakers such as these benefit from an X-Fi sound card?

I read that the Logitech Z-10 are better than the Creatives, but more expensive, but cooler! I had a go of them in the purple shirt shop, and they do sound very nice... not sure if they're worth the extra outlay though.

I guess doing a little research of my own would have helped a lot here, the first customer review from another website answered all the questions I had at once :D . They confirmed that the Z-10s work properly in Vista and that they are a lot better than the T20s, so I think I will spend the little extra cash and get the Z-10s instead. My desk will now be completely dominated by Logitech peripherals :p (keyboard, mouse, speakers, racing wheel, and joystick haha!)

*EDIT*

Well, maybe they didn't answer all of my questions. I still don't know if these sort of speakers will benefit properly from a X-Fi soundcard, since they seem to be aimed at big surround sound setups.

The Logitechs, yes and no. Because it primarily takes a USB connection from your PC, it will bypass whatever sound card you have, so in that respect, the XFi would be useless. And the advantages of using USB is that you get to use the fancy display for your media, and that because it's a direct digital connection you won't get any noise like you would in a standard connection converted to analog. However if you wanted to make the most of having an XFi, you could output from that into the regular auxiliary input also on the back of the Z-10s, like any normal speakers. But of course that way you lose some of the functionality of the fancy display (i.e. you wouldn't be able to see what's playing now or change tracks etc), hence I was questioning whether they were worth the extra pennies :p

In that case, I think I'll go for the Creative T20s, I already have a G15 keyboard which displays media information, and I'd much rather have my speakers work through my sound card. Have you got any other suggestions?
